From one room to the next, students discover the subtle links between the evolution of life on Earth and geological phenomena (including natural hazards such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and landslides). The presence of a mediator helps visitors to better understand the significance of emblematic fossils such as ammonites and ichthyosaurs, through their local diversity and evolution. Imagination and knowledge come together for a journey back in time to the warm seas of the Jurassic (in Digne itself). The Geopark House is a showcase for the entire region, allowing students to appreciate the wealth of heritage characteristic of a UNESCO Geopark.
