New facilities on the Rocher de Neuf Heures in Digne-les-Bains

After a fortnight’s work, the project is nearing completion for the creation of a panoramic viewpoint at the summit of the Rocher de Neuf Heures, as well as a rest and interpretation terrace halfway along the access path. Given the site’s difficult access, all materials were transported by helicopter. Bois Noir lookout inauguration

The new Arches bridge

Linking downtown Digne-les-Bains to the Promenade Museum and the Barles road, the new Arches bridge was opened to traffic on Monday December 16, 2024. This new steel structure, 140 metres long and 12.5 metres wide, with a 700-tonne deck, replaces the old bridge built in 1894. Its advanced state of corrosion, structural problems and insufficient width decided in favor of the new bridge.
