A cooperation project with the
Alpes-de-Haute-Provence development agency to promote the Geopark’s ecotourism offering.

The Haute-Provence Geopark and the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence Development Agency have joined forces to promote the region’s ecotourism discovery offer. Funded as part of the LEADER program, this cooperative project is being carried out in conjunction with tourist offices. It comprises a number of actions to be carried out over the course of 2024:

Qualifying the offer in APIDAE

APIDAE is a tourism information system designed for tourism professionals. Used by a large number of players and institutions in France, it enables harmonized, up-to-date tourist information to be qualified, shared and distributed. The Geopark has decided to take part in this initiative by creating or updating APIDAE files, which will enable it to promote its geopartners and developed sites, and improve their visibility on various tourist information media, in particular on its website.

Digital strategy

The Geopark website will be optimized to make it more ergonomic and interactive. New functionalities and content will be offered, and the interface for navigation from mobile devices will be improved. The site will also be linked to the APIDAE platform, which will be able to feed back the tourist information entered, particularly on Geopartners. A members’ area will also be set up.

Content production

Several photo and video campaigns will also be carried out. The first campaign will highlight the richness and diversity of the Geopark’s landscapes. It will include some twenty drone videos and photos of the Geopark’s emblematic landscapes.

The second campaign will focus on Geopartners. Each of them will benefit from a photo shoot designed to highlight their activity. Ten video portraits will also be produced, highlighting their commitment to sustainable development. These photos and videos will then be used in the Geopark’s various media (website, social networks, printed documents, etc.) and in promotional material produced by AD 04 and tourist offices.

Marketing (sales, distribution, etc.) of tourism products

The Geopark and AD 04 are working together to create ecotourism packages that will then be marketed. The aim of these holidays is to showcase the Geopark’s ecotourism offer and promote its four-season activities.

Promotion plan

Eventually, the combination of these three actions (qualification of Apidae records, photo and video campaign, optimization of the website) will enable us to draw up a global promotion plan for the territory and the Geopark’s partners, promoting them via the various communication media (paper and digital).
