You are in the commune of Estoublon, just a few kilometers from the famous Valensole plateau and its lavender-blue immensities. Gisèle Emeline, geopartner of the Géoparc de Haute-Provence, has several products to her credit: garrigue honey, lavender, chestnut, Alpine flowers, gingerbread, nougat, honey calissons made on the farm, mielettes, honey cookies…
Haute-Provence honey benefits from the presence of aromatic plants in both cultivated and wild areas: lavender and lavandin, of course, but also thyme, rosemary, savory, hyssop… which are valuable melliferous plants, flowering at different times.
Gisèle will be delighted to welcome you, either on your own or in a group, and offer tours and events. Among other things, you’ll be able to observe, listen to and smell a living beehive (a transparent beehive with a mesh screen to get as close as possible to the bees).
