Rose-Marie and Florent welcome you to their farm. These committed farmers will tell you all about their products, which come from environmentally-friendly cultivation, wild harvesting and breeding. Rose-Marie will tell you about her passion for saffron, and how she found evidence of its cultivation in the valley in the 16th century! The delicate crocus flowers never cease to amaze her: “the name ‘Safran des Montagnes’ came about naturally, as we were one of the first saffron producers to re-establish ourselves in mountain areas”. Everything here is a work of patience (200,000 flowers to obtain 1 kg of dry saffron!).
Certified organic products for sale on site and in the Sisteron producers’ store: jams, saffron, bulbs, saffron syrups and vinegars and fresh truffles. Old fruit varieties in the conservatory orchard.
