Guided tour of the Promenade Museum and the ammonite slab, a UNESCO Geopark emblem.
A visit to the Musée Promenade can be preceded by a visit to the Dalle aux Ammonites Nature Reserve.
This allows us to observe a life-size geological outcrop, with over 1,500 ammonites in the place where they were fossilized (rather than extracted from their rocky gangue and displayed in showcases). Accompanying the exhibition provide keys to understanding the site and regional geological phenomena.
By reservation and for groups only:
- Price: €10/person
- Package price: €200 for groups of less than 20 people
- Duration: 2h30 minimum
Guided tour of the ammonite slab
This short activity is an excellent introduction to a visit to the Maison des Remparts. The aim is to learn how to observe the rocks of our region at life-size, so that you don’t miss out on geological history without seeing it. Visitors discover the reality of rocky outcrops, and the relationship between fossils and the rocks that contain them. More than 1,550 ammonites bring the ancient seabed back to life!
By reservation and for groups only:
- Price: €2/person
- Duration: 30min
