For the youngest of ages, the UNESCO Geopark Team offers activities to discover and raise awareness of the environment and natural heritage, in order to stimulate their curiosity. Our approach is flexible and adapted to the needs of each individual.

The Promenade Museum welcomes your child and their friends to celebrate their birthday in a fun and educational way. With the Guide, the children alternate between digging "like a real palaeontologist" and birthday-party breaks with sweets, drinks and cakes. The opening of the gifts closes the session alongside the fossils that have taken the children on a journey through time on Earth. An excellent afternoon for the children, with no worries about space or noise for the parents who just have to bring the food!

Summer Activities At The Promenade Museum
Every year, in the months of July and August, the Promenade Museum offers fun activities for children aged 6 to 12, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The schedule is updated every year in June.

Excavation-Digs to go back in time
If ammonites could talk, they would tell us... about the sea in Digne! Like real palaeontologists, the children carry out palaeontological-digs in the Carboniferous Equatorial Forest or at the bottom of the Jurassic Sea, in search of ferns, sea urchins, ichthyosaurs or dinosaurs that tell the amazing story of millions of years of the Earth's history.

Local Friendly Snakes
They are discreet and yet they are frightening... To dispel preconceived ideas, there is nothing better than to understand their way of life through games and lively discussions. There is no danger, because it is the image of the snake that we're taming, between snakes and vipers, discovering the 10 species present in our region. From every child's imagination, a unique snake will be born, which will perhaps stimulate their curiosity about wildlife and the natural environment.
